On 13 March 2026, representatives of IYARKAYAI NESI PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Venkatesh Prabhu, I.F.S., District Forest Officer, Coimbatore Forest Division, Anamalai Tiger Reserve.
As part of the Trust’s summer conservation campaign, “Let’s Keep Water for Birds,” a bird water bowl prepared by the Trust’s volunteers was presented to the District Forest Officer as a symbolic launch of the initiative.
The campaign aims to encourage the placement of bird water bowls in suitable locations across urban and residential areas, providing accessible drinking water for birds during the hot summer months.
Through this initiative, the Trust seeks to encourage public participation in bird conservation, promote compassion towards urban wildlife, and create greater awareness about the importance of providing safe water sources for birds during periods of extreme heat.
The initiative reflects the Trust’s continued commitment to bird conservation, biodiversity protection and community-based environmental action.
